Programming an Analog Services Unit II (ASU II)

Before You Begin

Ensure that the Analog Services Unit is connected as shown in the Technician's Handbook.

Programming

To program an ASU II:

• Analog Services Units form

• Click Change and Select "ASU II" from the Programmed Type field.

• In the Programmed Card Slot 1 field, select the installed analog card type.

• In the Programmed Card Slot 2 field, select installed analog card type. Valid analog card types are "24 Port ONSP Card", "16 Port ONS Card", or "4 + 12 Port Combo Card".

NOTE: You must purchase an analog line license for each ONS port on an analog card. Check the Analog Line Licenses fields in the System Capacity form ( ) to determine the number of available licenses. Subtract the number of used licenses from the number of purchased licenses.
